Happy Holidays
I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas! It's been kinda bad for us, with my brother-in-law passing away on the 17th.

We've had a houseful of people from all over the country due to the funeral, and it's starting to thin down now. I'm looking forward to having a quiet home again...well, as quiet as it can be with all these birds! ;)

We ended up with 3 baby finches...the other eggs didn't hatch. We think two of them will go live with their grandma...she needs the company.

Got a new Kodak Easy Share DX7630 camera and printer for Christmas, a new cordless keyboard and mouse (yah!), and a new color TV. I got Scott a new amp, 12" speakers, and mikes, with stands for all. Now we're going to be socking money away as fast as possible and will hopefully spend next Christmas in our very own home!

And so we grow...
The finches ended up laying 6 eggs in total. At least one has hatched. They apparently got tired of my intruding on their little world and pushed the nesting material up over the door so I can't look in :(

My boss is now going to give me his Quaker Parrot. Apparently, he had given it to his daughter, but it just wasn't a good fit, so it's going to come live with us. His name is Ziggy and he's 12 years old.

That makes 9 birds...and counting (still 5 eggs in the nest)!

I think the boss has one bird left, but that one I'm not interested in. It's a macaw, and I never have trusted them! (Please, if you love macaws, no flaming!)
