The finches ended up laying 6 eggs in total. At least one has hatched. They apparently got tired of my intruding on their little world and pushed the nesting material up over the door so I can't look in :(
My boss is now going to give me his Quaker Parrot. Apparently, he had given it to his daughter, but it just wasn't a good fit, so it's going to come live with us. His name is Ziggy and he's 12 years old.
That makes 9 birds...and counting (still 5 eggs in the nest)!
I think the boss has one bird left, but that one I'm not interested in. It's a macaw, and I never have trusted them! (Please, if you love macaws, no flaming!)

I love Conures and Senegals... Beautiful birds. Quakers are called Quakers for a reason. Noisiest bird I have ever owned. I accidently didn't clip the wings for 6 months and then accidently left the cage and front door open at the same time. Dang my ADD. It must have taken 45 minutes of me accidently shaking the cage before the bird got a clue. =) Not really... but I daydreamed a lot. Noisy a$$ bird.
